BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAMS
The Office of Small Business is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Small/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (S/DBE) Programs through small business certification, business development outreach, and contract compliance monitoring.
METRO has an annual goal of 35 percent small business participation. All small business/disadvantaged business owners are encouraged to bid on METRO procurement opportunities.
As of October 1, 2015, METRO's Small Business Certification process has been entirely online.
Small Business Certification
METRO’s Small/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (S/DBE) Programs operate in a race and gender-neutral manner and were designed to include all segments of the region’s business community. These programs are open to participation without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, age or disability. Small business certification may take up to 30 business days to process.
